Peugeot Motor Company Plc
"What impressed us is how easy the machine is to use. Our sales
staff have become expert users in a very short time and they are now saying
'How did we cope before Squarezone?'"
Peugeot dealers have the XM32 computer with 256k memory modules.
They store up to ten recent price lists in their machine giving them selling
prices, maintenance rates, Guaranteed Minimum Future Values and so on for all
of the vehicles in their extensive range, for up to two years previous.
They use their XM32 to produce quotations for Contract Hire, Personal
Contract Purchase, Hire Purchase and Leasing.
Having the price list within the XM32 helps to take the emphasis off the
cash price so that dealer sales staff are less likely to be asked for a
discount. The software quickly produces a repayment figure so that
negotiations may centre on "How much is that going to cost me each
month?" The initial repayment figure is calculated with Payment
Protection Insurance and full sales commission included. The commission
earned on dramatically increased insurance sales, usually pays for the XM32
within a month of using it.
Dealer sales staff who may have been uncertain about selling complex
finance, are now confident that they can produce figures to satisfy their
customer's budget, without compromising commission earnings.
A second set of modules belonging to Peugeot is kept at our offices.
Using data supplied by Peugeot via e-mail, we update the price lists at least
four times a year. That information is then stored in the modules and
they are despatched via mail to each dealership. When they receive
updated modules, the dealerships return the old modules for erasing ready for
the next update.
Peugeot use Squarezone Midas II PC software to compile all of the pricing
data in the format needed for the XM32. |
